Notifications Filtering

What Are Notifications?

Notifications include Workbook tasks you have been assigned or unassigned, Workbook lists you have been assigned or unassigned, and Workbook tasks where you have been mentioned in the comments of a task.

Filtering All Notifications, Tasks, Mentions

  • Navigate to the home screen of FOLIO.
  • Notifications you have will appear in the "Notifications" widget on the home screen.
  • On the right side of the Notifications widget, there are three tabs - All, Mentions, and Tasks. You can use these to filter the notifications by type.
    • All: this view shows all notifications, regardless if it's a mention or task.
    • Mentions: this view shows only mentions, which is where you are "@" mentioned in the comment of a task.
    • Tasks: this view shows only tasks where you are assigned in the "Assigned To" field.
  • The same notifications styling applies regardless of which tab you are in. By default, notifications are sorted alphabetically by Client and then each Project inside the Client.
  • You can use the sort dropdown within each tab.

💎 Product Tips:

  • The default sort is alphabetized by Client and then each Project inside the Client.
  • Tasks are sorted with the soonest due date and overdue tasks on top.
  • Even if a task is marked "complete" and you have not cleared your notification, it will show in this list according to the due date on the task.
  • If there is no due date assigned to a task OR the list with which the task is associated, the task will sort to the bottom.
  • Task LIST due dates trump individual task dates on overdue task coloring in the widget.
    • For example, my 1A task LIST has a due date of last Friday. But my task inside that list is due next week. The task will still outline in red on the home screen because the list the task is associated with is overdue.
  • Tasks with RED dates are overdue.
  • Tasks with YELLOW dates are due today.
  • Tasks with TEAL dates are due in the future.
