Assigning and Unassigning Tasks and Task Lists

Assigning Task Lists to FOLIO Users 

  • Open the Workbook where you want to assign a list. 
  • Select the list you want to assign. 
  • On the top right of the list, click the settings gear and select "Manage List". 
  • On the slide out, pick the appropriate person in the "Assign To" dropdown. Select "Save" on the bottom right of the slide out. 
  • Close the slide out. 

💎 Product Tip: You can only assign lists and tasks to people who are part of your project. If you need to add someone who is not in the dropdown, go to the "Team" tab in the project to add them! 

📣 Related Functionality: When you assign someone, they immediately get a notification on their home dashboard they have been assigned a task list. 

Changing Tasks List Assignee 

  • Open the Workbook where you want to change the assignment of a list. 
  • Select the list you want to change assignment. 
  • On the top right of the list, click the settings gear and select "Manage List". 
  • On the slide out, change the appropriate person in the "Assign To" dropdown. Select "Save" on the bottom right of the slide out.
  • Close the slide out. 

💎 Product Tip: You can only assign lists and tasks to people who are part of your project. If you need to add someone who is not in the dropdown, go to the "Team" tab in the project to add them! 

📣 Related Functionality: When you change list assignment, the person no longer assigned will get a "unassigned" notification on their home. The newly assigned person will immediately get a notification on their home dashboard they have been assigned a task.

  • Select the list and task you want to assign. 
  • On the task slide out, select the user you want to assign in the "Assign To" dropdown. 
  • Close the slide out.
